Studio Re-Opening Update: May 2021

irish pole dance academy announcement about classes sumer 2021

The pandemic is not over yet, though finally we are preparing to come out of lockdown!

It will be a while yet before things are back to “normal” at Irish Pole Dance Academy. The latest government announcement has outlined some information for a possible reopening of businesses like ours. Sadly there is no date for when we can offer group pole dancing classes again; the statement currently says that dance and exercise classes will resume “later in the year”.

The statement also says that there will (hopefully) be some limited in-person options for training from June 7th. We plan to offer a limited amount of in-person training at our studio from June, as well as continuing our tried and tested online classes and lessons.

Our training options from June 7th 2021 will be*:

Please note that taught classes are NOT permitted in June; we wish that we could teach you normal classes, but we cannot run the risk of us and our clients getting fined for rule-breaking. Thanks for your understanding on this point.

Our updated schedule for June is available on our ‘Book Online’ page! Thanks for your patience.

First-timer wanting to get started with pole dancing?
We sadly cannot offer our beginner’s ‘Introduction to Pole Dance’ course in June for the reasons outlined above.

We urge all first-timers to please book a private lesson with us, or to avail of our amazing ‘Floorwork Fundamentals’ course for first-timers. This course is designed especially for people who want to start ‘Introduction to Pole Dance’ post-pandemic, and includes floor based movements and techniques to help you to gain strength, flexibility and co-ordination that you can directly apply to pole dancing later. Most of all, it’s a lot of fun! We promise you will be glad you took the course instead of putting it on the long finger.

Wanting to book a private lesson?
Contact us and we’d be delighted to book you in! These are available by appointment only. We will also set some goals for your lessons once we chat to you and know where you are at and what you want to achieve.

Wanting to wait until restrictions are fully lifted?
That’s no problem! Again, we sadly don’t know right now when normal group classes will return. Please contact us to join a waiting list so that we can offer you first dibs on class places when we do resume our full range of classes.

Wanting to continue with online training?
Fantastic! We will continue to offer our tried and tested online services for the forseeable future. You can join our live online classes (no pole required), use our pre-recorded on-demand tutorials (there are over 300 to keep you learning and progressing), or book a private lesson via Zoom.

Don’t have a pole at home?
That’s grand! You can still use our live online classes and our pre-recorded on-demand tutorials: we’ve got floorwork, chair dance, conditioning, flexibility and more to keep you progressing. If you’re looking to buy a pole at home, check out our blog about this!

You can also chat to us about availing of a discount code on Lupit Pole, contact us!

*This plan is subject to change depending on the government guidelines in regards to reopening or prolonging the lockdown. Thanks for your understanding.
