‘Invert, Bend, Balance’ Online Symposium: 19th November

arlene caffrey guest speaker at invert bend and balance symposium

I’m delighted to share that I have been invited to be a key note speaker as part of the ‘Invert, Bend, Balance’ online symposium with Andrea Plancarte / Fit For Pole!

It’s a 7-day online event in November with talks from pole dance experts and aerialists with loads of practical tips for getting the most from your training, avoiding overwhelm and staying injury free.

And best of all, it’s free of charge.

My topic is: ‘Get out of your head and into your he(art): Performance strategies & tips for Pole Dancers for bringing more creative flow to their dancing’.

I thought long and hard about the tips that students find the most helpful when I’m guiding them to make a pole dance performance piece (for a competition, showcase and especially a personal performance piece), so I hope you’ll find it helpful too!

In this is talk, I’ll be touching on the following points as well as addressing common misconceptions:

– How to create a dance piece that is authentic to you
– How to lessen the BS internal chatter that can stunt your creativity
– How to keep the joy alive / get out of a creative rut
– You don’t need to reinvent the wheel every time you dance / perform / compete
– You don’t need to be good at freestyle in order to be a “good” dancer

You can catch my talk on Saturday 19th November (5:00 PM CST / Mexico City Time) if you would like to hear my wisdom and tips.

I do encourage you to tune into the whole thing as there’s an unreal line-up of 32 speakers, including Tia Jax, Amy Hazel, Natasha Wang and fellow OG Tammy Morris!

All interviews will be available to watch for free during 24 hours.
