This March, my little business Irish Pole Dance Academy turned 8 years old. So what better way to celebrate than with our usual Anniversary Showcase!
Everyone who knows me knows that IPDA is my soul’s work; I am fiercely proud of the community of badasses that my studio is home to. I set up this company while I was on the dole and dreamt about one day having my own studio (more about that in an upcoming blog post). IPDA is so much more than just a studio and more than I ever could have dreamed of! Thanks to everybody who has supported my business over the years; here’s to the next 8 years and beyond!
Massive thanks to everyone who performed at the showcase: Kathleen, Sarah, El, Trena, Agata, Ava, Katia, Kate, Clarisse, Órla, Danielle, Solange, Joshua, Tessa, Trixie, Victoria and Jonathan. Seriously honoured and humbled to have you all dance with me; such grace, magic and strength ye brought! Thank you my sister Steff Caffrey for holding it all together and playing a blinder on the sound engineering, Shaun Ryan of Crooked Gentlemen and AM Photo Star for working their calm magic and capturing the event so beautifully (which you can see below), thank you to our pole cleaners Jenna and Suzanne, and of course thank you to Kathleen and Trena for helping out with the MC-ing.
